This week, we’re thrilled to spotlight our staff member, Austin Will! Austin graduated from the University of Louisville with his Bachelor of Science in Sustainability with a Minor in Environmental Analysis. Austin now serves as a Forest Educator in our Thrive program, where he connects with and inspires the kids. In addition to his role as an educator, he’s a vital member of our grounds crew, helping to maintain our stunning property, and he leads a range of weekend hikes. We’re grateful for all the hard work and dedication he brings to our team!
We asked Austin what he enjoys most about working here, and he said “I love working at Creasey Mahan because I’m surrounded by a beautiful piece of our natural world! I enjoy the company of such a friendly staff and I am able to encourage the next generation into having a passion for conservation.”
When Austin is at work, he enjoys seeing the variety of Hawks that call Creasey home. He also enjoys looking out of the bird blind in the Nature Center and seeing the swamp hibiscus surrounded by birds. Austin wanted you all to know that a wise man once said, “If we save our wild places, we will ultimately save ourselves.” – Steve Irwin
Thank you, Austin, for wearing so many hats and making such a meaningful impact! Your passion for education and care for our environment truly inspires us all.
