FUNDING & SUPPORT

Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve is a non-profit public charity established through the legacy of Virginia Creasey Mahan and incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky on July 7, 1975. The Nature Preserve is a 170-acre family-friendly destination located in Goshen, Kentucky. Howard B. Mahan, Virginia’s husband, served as Chairman of the Board until his death in 1984.

To maintain the land, buildings, and programs of Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve, operating costs primarily are derived from visitor-supported donations, other tax-deductible contributions, grants, educational programs, sponsors, and special events. No tax dollars are received or used to maintain and operate Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve.
