Winter Soundwalk

Where: Meet at the Nature Center
Join Jacob Crider for a hike into our woodlands and meadows to listen to the calming sounds around us. You will learn how birds listen for subtle differences in songs (undetected by humans), and how acoustical awareness in birds and mammals impacts their survival.
We will pay special attention to the beautiful valley of Little Huckleberry Creek and its surroundings. This area offers a lovely display of early wildflowers, as well.
Wear comfortable shoes for walking on uneven ground.
We encourage you to bring binoculars (if you have a pair), a camera or smartphone, and plenty of curiosity.
