Summer Birding

Where: Meet at the Picnic Pavilions behind the Nature Center
Naturalist Jacob Crider will take you on a walk through the grasslands, woodlands, and mature forests in search for birds. He will point out a variety of songbirds, raptors, and woodpeckers. You are likely to view year-round bird residents, as well as neo-tropical migrant species, such as the Indigo Bunting, Common Yellowthroat, and Summer Tanager.
Wear comfortable shoes for walking on uneven ground. Difficulty is easy to moderate.
We encourage you to bring binoculars (if you have a pair), a camera or smartphone, and plenty of curiosity.
