Join Lee Payne Jr. for a relaxing walk through Creasey Mahan’s forests and prairies to spot our avian visitors and year round denizens of the Bluegrass. You are likely to see familiar species like chickadees, titmice, bluebirds, and woodpeckers, and some of our migratory species like indigo buntings, warblers, and orioles.
Experience the vibrant ‘Songs of Summer’ firsthand as we listen for the unique calls and melodies that fill the air during this peak season of activity
Wear comfortable shoes for walking on uneven ground. Difficulty is moderate.
We encourage you to bring binoculars (if you have a pair), a camera or smartphone, and plenty of curiosity.
