Did you know there are four different types of rock at Creasey Mahan? From Louisville Limestone bluffs to Waldron Shale creek bottoms, Creasey Mahan’s rolling hills and steep ravines offer great opportunities to see our region’s geology.
Come join us for a hike through the Preserve to see our fascinating and ancient geological features.
If the weather is particularly cold or rainy, we will cover these topics inside the heated Nature Center, and shorten our outdoor hikes.
Hike difficulty: Moderate
Wear comfortable shoes for walking on uneven ground.
We encourage you to bring binoculars (if you have a pair), a camera or smartphone, and plenty of curiosity.
