Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Donation: $10/person, $5/members, Children 6 and younger are free
Where: Meet at the Picnic Pavilions behind the Nature Center
Naturalist Jacob Crider will lead you on a hike exploring the back and front meadows. You will learn about Kentucky’s grasslands, glades, savannas, open forests, and the bird species that live and nest in these habitats. You will search for sparrows, finches, bluebirds, hawks, falcons, and woodpeckers.
Wear comfortable shoes for walking on uneven ground. Difficulty is easy to moderate.
We encourage you to bring binoculars (if you have a pair), a camera or smartphone, and plenty of curiosity.
