FAQ

Where does the money go?

As a public charity, this event is an important fundraiser to help us maintain our 170-acres and provide year-round services to you and the entire community.

What if I volunteer, do I get in free?

Absolutely! Please email Info@KYNaturePreserve.org to volunteer!

What should I wear?

Costumes are encouraged, but optional. Please wear comfortable clothes and field-friendly shoes, such as athletic shoes, boots, or all-terrain sandals, to walk on uneven ground.

After buying tickets online, how do I find them?

A receipt will be sent to the email you provide when checking out. If you can’t find the email, check your junk or spam mail. The email will have a QR code for each ticket. When you arrive at the event, we will scan your QR codes for a quick entry!

Do I have to buy tickets in advance?

For the fastest admission, purchase tickets in advance online. (Refer to the above answer about QR codes.) You will also be able to purchase tickets at the event with cash or credit credits.

Do you take cash or credit cards?

You are encouraged to purchase tickets online, but cash and credit cards will be accepted at the admission tents.

Is there an extra charge to use the inflatables?

New this year is that the inflatable party zones are offered with no extra fees!

How much walking is involved?

Depending on your preference, you may enjoy the main event area with food trucks, the hay sculptures, inflatables, and booths. The Fairy Tale Trail offers 18 candy stations along an almost mile-long flat trail.

Is there a better time to avoid lines?

Come early or towards the end of the event. Reminder, the event is 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. If you find yourself in a line, they move quickly

Will there be food?

Food trucks will offer delicious food and beverages, available for purchase, or you may bring your own food. Picnic tables will be provided. Food trucks: Fistful of Tacos, Papa Johns, Chop It Like It’s Hot, Fitz Freeze, and Gelato Gilberto!

Will there be water?

Complimentary water will be provided by Louisville Water, and beverages will be available for sale at the food trucks. We encourage you and your guests to bring refillable bottles and stay hydrated.

Can I bring my dog?

Pets that get along with other dogs and children MUST always be on a leash. Bring your own pick-up bags to clean up after your pet. Thank you.

What if my child has a food allergy?

Due to having outside food vendors and candy suppliers, you are required to use your own discretion to best manage and care for your family’s food requirements.

Is there a Lost and Found?

Misplaced items will be at Creasey Mahan’s booth, located at the first picnic pavilion. If you leave the event and want to make an inquiry, email a description of the item to Info@KYNaturePreserve.org or call the office at 502-228-4362.
