Description: The Norway Spruce is a coniferous, needled evergreen tree that is native to northern and central Europe. The Norway Spruce can be identified by its glossy, dark green needles which grow up to about an inch long and its long, brown cones which have rounded scales with pointed tips. The Norway Spruce can grow up to 60 feet tall and prefers to grow in northern climates. These photos of a Norway Spruce were near the Native Grassland at Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve.
