Tavia Cathcart Brown, author of a wildflower field guide covering 16-states and Executive Director at Creasey Mahan Nature Preserve, will lead wildflower walks through the Preserve’s spectacular 2-acre native wildflower and fern Woodland Garden and along a favorite wildflower trail at the Preserve. She will share her knowledge on wildflower edibility, medicinal uses, Native American folklore and the origin of their names.

The walks are geared towards all ages, and kids are encouraged to join us. The walks will be easy to moderate. Dress in layers and be comfortable.  Please bring a sack lunch and binoculars, if you’d like to bird watch while you botanize.
