Forest Stewardship Volunteer Event

Donation: $10/person, $5/members, Children 6 and younger are free
Where: Meet at the Nature Center
During this event, we will learn about native vs. invasive plants in our area and how we can manage them in our native ecosystem. You will also learn about native and invasive animals, habitat ecology, sustainable land use, and management tactics.
You will receive one hour of teaching and demonstrations in our outdoor classroom, followed by two hours of service in an active forest restoration area at Creasey Mahan. This program will count as three hours of volunteer time. Tools, gloves, snacks, and drinks will be provided.
Durable clothing and footwear are recommended for this program.
