Forest Stewardship Volunteer Event

Donation: $10/person, $5/members, Children 6 and younger are free
Where: Meet at the Nature Center
During this event we will learn about native vs. invasive plants in our area and how we can manage them in our native ecosystems here in our region. Other topics that we will be focusing on are native and invasive animals, habitat ecology, sustainable land use, and management tactics.
We will hold 1 hour of teaching and demonstrations in our outdoor classroom, followed by 2 hours of service in an active restoration zone on-site at CMNP. This program will count as 3 hours of volunteer time. Tools, gloves, snacks and drinks will be provided.
Durable clothing and footwear are recommended for this program.
